Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies NEXTARCA uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. Essential cookies keep the website working. Analytics and advertising cookies are optional and follow the choices you make in our cookie banner.

What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They let a website recognize your device and remember information about your visit. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in a comparable way, and this policy covers them too.

How NEXTARCA Uses Cookies

NEXTARCA uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, keep the website secure, remember your privacy choices, understand how the website is used, and show advertising that helps fund NEXTARCA.

Your Choices

When you first visit NEXTARCA, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline optional cookies. Essential cookies are always active. Analytics and advertising cookies are optional, and they are only used in the ways described below.

You can change your choices at any time with the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of every page. Where the law requires consent before advertising cookies are used, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you will be asked through a consent message before those cookies are set.

Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for NEXTARCA to work and cannot be turned off:

  • Sign-in cookies set by Supabase Auth, the service NEXTARCA uses to manage accounts. They keep you signed in and protect your session, and they last until you sign out or your session expires.
  • Short sign-in cookies (nxtarca_pending_login and nxtarca_pending_mfa) that complete sign-in and two-step verification securely. They last 10 minutes.
  • A consent cookie (nxtarca_consent) that remembers your cookie choices, so we do not ask again on every visit. It lasts 1 year.

Settings Saved in Your Browser

NEXTARCA remembers a few settings in your browser's local storage, such as your light or dark theme and whether you dismissed the prompt to install the app. These values stay on your device and are not sent to NEXTARCA or to anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Analytics Cookies

NEXTARCA uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how the website is used, for example which pages are read, how visitors arrive and which devices they use. Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept analytics cookies.

Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier. They can last up to 2 years. Google receives information such as the pages you view, your browser and device type, and your approximate location based on your IP address. NEXTARCA does not send your name, email address or account details to Google Analytics.

To learn how Google uses this information, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics in any browser with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

NEXTARCA's Own Page Counter

NEXTARCA also counts page views with its own counter, which does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device. It records the page you view, the website that sent you (for your first page only) and your device type.

To count visitors without identifying them, the counter creates a code from your IP address and browser that changes every day. Your IP address itself is never stored. The counter does not run when your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.

Advertising Cookies

Advertising helps fund NEXTARCA. Some ads are sold directly and shown through NEXTARCA's own ad system, which counts views and clicks without setting advertising cookies.

NEXTARCA also uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to NEXTARCA or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to NEXTARCA and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in My Ad Center, and you can opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. If you decline advertising cookies when you are asked, ads may still appear, but they will not be personalized based on your browsing.

Videos From YouTube

Game trailers and other videos on NEXTARCA are embedded from YouTube. Unless you accept advertising cookies, they load in YouTube's privacy enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which does not set YouTube's advertising cookies when you view a page. If you accept advertising cookies, videos load from youtube.com, and YouTube may set its own cookies. Watching a video is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.

Sign-In With Google

Where you choose to sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies during sign-in, governed by its own cookie and privacy practices. NEXTARCA does not control third party cookies.

Managing Cookies in Your Browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to NEXTARCA, and deleting the consent cookie means you will be asked for your choices again.

Policy Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy as NEXTARCA's use of cookies changes. Material changes will be reflected in the version and "Last Updated" date shown on this page.
