NC America has announced War for Atreia, a two-week creator competition bringing 60 MMO creators into six teams ahead of AION 2’s global launch on October 5, 2026. The event connects creator challenges and audience recruitment to two simultaneous contests built around the rivalry between the Elyos and Asmodian factions.

War for Atreia began with a live draft held at NC America’s studio in Irvine, California. The draft was broadcast through multiple official AION 2 social channels, establishing the teams that will compete across three regions during the campaign.

The format gives AION 2 a community focused lead into release rather than relying only on trailers and developer presentations. Viewers will be able to follow individual creators while also supporting the wider faction and team competitions connected to their activity.

War for Atreia divides 60 creators into six teams

The event features 60 creators divided across six teams and three regions. Every participant will represent either the Elyos or Asmodians, the two opposing factions at the center of the AION universe.

NC America has structured the event around campaign bounties and viewer recruitment. Completing a bounty or recruiting a viewer will contribute toward two separate competitions.

The first is a global Faction War between the Elyos and Asmodians. The second will determine the Top Legion, which NC America also describes as the top team.

This means creators will be competing for both their chosen faction and their individual team. A strong performance could contribute to one leaderboard while also affecting the larger faction contest.

The announcement provided to NEXTARCA does not include the complete creator roster, regional team assignments, individual bounty values, prizes, or detailed scoring rules. NC America has also not specified how viewers will be recruited or where live standings will be displayed.

Viewer participation becomes part of the competition

War for Atreia is designed to involve viewers rather than treating them only as spectators. Recruitment contributes to both the global faction contest and the competition between the six teams.

That structure could give viewers a reason to follow the campaign across multiple creator channels, especially if creators begin competing to attract more players to their side. It may also introduce new players to the Elyos and Asmodian rivalry before they enter the game themselves.

However, the announcement does not explain whether recruitment will involve registrations, referral links, account creation, or another tracking system. Players should wait for instructions from AION 2’s official channels or participating creators before attempting to join a team.

War for Atreia is also not being presented as a professional esports tournament. It is a creator event built around team competition, faction identity, community participation, and the launch of an MMORPG.

The event leads directly into AION 2’s October launch

Executive Publishing Producer Merv Lee Kwai said the campaign is intended to challenge and reward its participants while giving players a reason to follow the competition from beginning to end.

NC America also reconfirmed two important dates alongside the announcement. AION 2 Early Access is scheduled for September 30, 2026, followed by the global launch on October 5.

The provided event announcement does not identify platform availability, regional access conditions, or the requirements for joining Early Access. Players should verify those details through official AION 2 store and account pages before purchasing or downloading anything.

For now, players can follow War for Atreia through AION 2’s official social channels and the streams of participating creators. The next confirmed milestone is Early Access on September 30, followed by the global launch on October 5.
