XLGAMES will offer a free ArcheAge Chronicles demo during Steam Next Fest this October. The demo runs from October 19 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, or 1:00 p.m. EDT and 5:00 p.m. UTC, through October 26 at the same time. In UTC+7, UTC+8 and UTC+9, it opens on October 20 at midnight, 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., respectively, and closes at those same local times on October 27. Valve lists the festival for October 19 to 26 in its Steam Next Fest schedule. The game’s Steam announcement says the demo will be free and open to Steam users, with no separate application required.

What the demo includes
Players can explore selected content centered on Diamond Shores, one of Auroria’s early regions. The attached XLGAMES press release lists four playable classes: Warrior, Ranger, Berserker and Mage. It also says PvP will appear in a public build for the first time. Housing and trade will not be included, and the Steam announcement says demo progress will not carry over to Early Access.
That makes this a focused chance to try the game’s combat and classes. Players looking for its housing and trade systems will need to wait for a later build.
How to access it
During the event, players can visit the ArcheAge Chronicles Steam page and select Download Demo. A Steam account is required, but the announcement says no key or separate sign up is needed.
The Steam listing still gives the game’s release date as To Be Determined. XLGAMES has not specified an Early Access date in the demo announcement.
