World of Dokkaebi is a free MMORPG developed by Supercat and published by Kakao Games. It launched in South Korea on October 8, 2026, on mobile and PC. It is set in a Korean fantasy world drawn from the country's folklore, with pixel art characters moving through 3D scenery.
How it plays
There is no fixed class. You choose skills and combine them into a fighting style of your own, and you dress your character with outfits and mounts. Playing with others runs through sects, the game's cooperative groups. Your character also keeps growing while you are offline.
The good side
The look is charming and unlike other MMORPGs. Building your own skill set is more interesting than picking from a class list. Korean folklore gives it a world with real character. It is free, and offline growth helps players with little time.
The watch-outs
It is only available in Korea, and no global release has been announced. It sells a paid currency in packs from 3,300 won up to 99,000 won, and the store listing states that it includes items with random odds. The listing does not describe raids, dungeons or trading, so the late game is unclear. It is rated 15+.
For players in Asia
This is a Korean service in Korean. Players elsewhere in Asia cannot officially play it yet. On iPhone and iPad it needs iOS 16 or later.
NEXTARCA's take
This is the game our readers have looked at most, and the art explains why. We hope it travels. Until a global version is announced, enjoy the trailers and keep an eye on this page.
