Arknights: Endfield Details Steam Access and New Farming Automation

The Sanctuary of Ink update arrives alongside Endfield’s Steam debut. Official details explain how existing accounts carry over, where farming automation unlocks, and why the new safeguard for expiring Sanity Meds can still lose unused items.

Arknights: Endfield is scheduled to launch on Steam on October 15, alongside the Sanctuary of Ink update. The official developer briefing confirms support for existing account progress and outlines changes to farming automation and expiring Sanity Meds.

For players considering the Steam version, the immediate questions are account access and which update features require additional progress.

Existing players can continue their account on Steam

The Steam listing requires a GRYPHLINE account and says linking to a Steam account is supported. The developer separately confirms that players can use their current account and continue their progress through cross-platform account data synchronization.

That gives existing players a way to continue on Steam without starting a new account. The briefing does not provide a detailed account linking walkthrough.

Auto-Farmer access depends on mission and story progress

The update introduces Auto-Farmer, which unlocks through the side mission A Painting Open for Business. Its Auto-Germinate and Auto-Harvest functions initially operate in the Farm in Si’s Painting.

Access later extends to the Wuling City farming area as the story progresses. Players should therefore treat the mission and location requirements as part of the unlock, rather than expect automation across every farming area immediately.

Expiring Sanity Meds can still be lost

The developer also describes a safeguard for LTO Sanity Meds: when they expire, they automatically convert into Sanity. If the Sanity cap has been reached, excess Sanity can become Sanity Essences using Sanity Extractors. Those Essences do not expire.

However, remaining expiring meds are destroyed if Sanity is capped and the account either lacks Extractors or cannot hold more Essences. The practical takeaway is to check both resources and storage capacity before relying on automatic conversion.

The official version guide lists Sanctuary of Ink availability after the October 15 update and maintenance. The cited sources do not specify an exact Steam unlock hour, so a Philippine launch time cannot yet be stated reliably.
