AION 2 Events (October 2026): Trick or Treat, Conquerors of the Abyss and More

Update (21 October 2026): NC added a new event with the 21 October patch: Rise to the Challenge, which sells time-limited Resurrection Spiritstones for Kina until mid December. It is now in the table and has its own section below, and the launch server transfer period that opened with the same maintenance is now running. Details come from NC's Rise to the Challenge announcement on Steam.

Five things are running in AION 2 right now: the Trick or Treat! Halloween event, the new Rise to the Challenge event, the Conquerors of the Abyss sale, the second round of server transfers and the launch rewards that every new account still receives. Here is what each one gives you, how to take part and exactly when it ends, with the times NC gives for North America and Europe and the same moment in Asia.

AION 2 events at a glance

Trick or Treat! (Halloween event)

The Halloween event started after the maintenance on October 13 (PDT) / October 14 (CEST) and runs until the maintenance on November 3 (PST) / November 4 (CET), going by NC's official announcement on Steam. It has four parts, all paid out in Halloween Pumpkin Coins (Event):

• Daily attendance: open the in-game menu and choose Attendance. Each day gives 35 coins, and days 7 and 14 give 100. Attendance resets daily at 12:00 AM PDT, which is 9:00 AM CEST and 3:00 PM in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei while summer time lasts in Europe and the US. It can be claimed once per server.

• Event missions: under Season Mission, then the Event tab. Each pays 20 to 30 coins once per week per server: hunt 10 monsters in the Abyss, clear a Transcendence Dungeon, an Expedition Conquest, an Ascension Trial or any Nightmare stage, log in 3 times, obtain a piece of Unique gear, use 5 scrolls, or join a Dimensional Invasion or the Shugo Festival.

• Coin Merchant: a new NPC in each town (Dawn Legion Base and Zumion Village in Verteron for Elyos, Safe Haven and Nornir Assembly in Altgard for Asmodians). The top item is the Special Halloween Chest for 250 coins, once per server, which holds the Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate skin and 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals. Coins also buy Odyle Energy, Lower Abyss Rift Stones, Skin Chests, Resurrection Spiritstones, dungeon tickets and Halloween buff food, each with its own weekly limit.

• Candy Keys: Candy Key Fragments drop from Expedition and Transcendence dungeons. Morph 60 of them into a Red, Yellow or Blue Candy Key (once per week per server each) to open the candies placed around town, which hold pet chests, scrolls, Abyss Points, Odyle Energy and more.

Watch the clean-up dates. Pumpkin Coins are removed from your inventory when the event ends. Halloween Candy, Halloween Cookies, Candy Key Fragments and Candy Keys are deleted on November 3 at 11:00 PM PST, which is November 4 at 8:00 AM CET and 3:00 PM in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei. Resurrection Spiritstones, dungeon tickets, Shugo Festival Reward Keys, Odyle Energy and the Special Halloween Chest from the event go on December 15 at 11:00 PM PST, which is December 16 at 8:00 AM CET and 3:00 PM in Asia. Everything from the event is non-tradable.

Rise to the Challenge (new)

This event arrived with the patch that added Hard Mode to the Krao Cave and Draupnir Expeditions, where each player only gets 3 revives, so cheap Resurrection Spiritstones are suddenly useful. From the maintenance on October 20 (PDT) / October 21 (CEST) until the maintenance on December 15 (PST) / December 16 (CET), the Shop sells Resurrection Spiritstone (Season 1) for Kina under Wind Breeze Merchants, in two steps:

• Step 1: 30 stones for 25,000 Kina, up to 30 per server each week.

• Step 2: 30 more stones for 50,000 Kina, also up to 30 per server each week. It only opens once you have bought the full Step 1 amount.

When you are revived, the game uses these Season 1 stones before your permanent bound ones, so your regular stock stays untouched while they last. The Season 1 stones are removed on December 16 at 12:00 AM PST. That is 8:00 AM UTC, 9:00 AM in Central Europe (CET), 8:00 AM in London (GMT), 3:00 AM in New York (EST), midnight in Los Angeles and 4:00 PM in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei on December 16. Like the other event items they cannot be traded, and NC notes the schedule and rewards may change.

Conquerors of the Abyss

Until the maintenance on October 27 (PDT) / October 28 (CET), the Shop sells the Lower Abyss Rift Stone (7 Days) for 50,000 Kina under Wind Breeze Merchants, then the Special tab. Each stone adds 1 hour of Lower Abyss time. The limit is 7 per character per week, for characters at level 45 or higher, and each stone deletes itself 7 days after you get it. The same patch raised the cap on stored Abyss entry time to 7 hours and added Abyss Entry Stones to two weekly Abyss Season Missions.

Server transfers

The launch servers' transfer period opened with the maintenance on October 20 (PDT) / October 21 (CEST) and runs to the maintenance on October 27 (PDT) / October 28 (CET). You can only apply during your region's daily windows, and each server has transfer caps that update every hour on the hour, so a server can close early:

Server Storage does not move with you, so empty it into your character's inventory or Character Storage first. Your character is renamed to a temporary name and you choose a new one on first login. Our server transfer guide covers the costs and rules.

Launch rewards for every account

NC is giving the pre-registration and Steam wishlist rewards to everyone who creates an account and logs in before the maintenance on December 1. NC lists that as December 1 at 11:30 PM PST, which is December 2 at 3:30 PM in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei, and its notice also gives December 2 at 9:30 AM CET for Europe. The rewards arrive by in-game mail: a choice of pet plus the Pagati pet, and a chest of Resurrection Spiritstones, potions and scrolls. Claim the mail before it expires on December 8 at 11:30 PM PST, which is December 9 at 3:30 PM in Asia.

Halloween items in the Shop

The Halloween patch also added paid cosmetics until the maintenance on November 24 (PST) / November 25 (CET): three armor skin sets at $29.99 each, Halloween Night weapon skins for each class at $11.99, the Pumpkin Carriage and Little Ghost pets and Spider Wings at $19.99 each, and helm and face decor for 300 Quna each. Prices are the Purple Store's in US dollars and can differ on other stores. None of it is needed to finish the free event.

NEXTARCA's take

Trick or Treat! is worth a few minutes every day even for casual players: the attendance coins alone, 620 over the 14 days, cover the Special Halloween Chest and leave plenty for Odyle Energy and Rift Stones. The real catch is the deletion schedule, so spend coins and candies before November 3 and use the dungeon tickets before mid December.

Rise to the Challenge is the quiet winner of this patch. With only 3 revives each in Hard Mode, buying the 30 Step 1 stones every week is cheap insurance for anyone pushing item level 2600 content, and because they are used first, your permanent stones stay safe. Step 2 costs twice as much, so only bother if your group wipes often. If you live in the Abyss, the Kina Rift Stones are still the best buy until October 27.
