Pearl Abyss has pushed Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown back by two weeks. The expansion now launches on October 29, 2026 in Europe and North America, instead of October 15. For players in Asia, the new date lands on the morning of Friday, October 30.
According to the official notice, the studio wants the extra time to make the expansion more polished and stable at launch, and it apologized to players who had planned around the original date. The notice does not mention any change to the expansion's content, price or platforms.
New release times
- Asia: Friday, October 30 at 6:00 a.m. GMT+8, which is 7:00 a.m. in Seoul and Tokyo
- Europe: Thursday, October 29 at 22:00 UTC, which is 23:00 in Central Europe
- North America: Thursday, October 29 at 3:00 p.m. PT, which is 6:00 p.m. ET
All regions unlock at the same moment. Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei and Kuala Lumpur share the 6:00 a.m. slot, so the expansion should be ready to download before the start of a Friday workday there.
Preorders stay open
Preorders remain available on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Anyone who preorders receives the Charter's Diving Set for Kliff and Oongka and the Charter's Light Diving Set for Damiane. On Steam, the expansion is listed at $24.99, and it requires the base game, Crimson Desert Enhanced. Regional prices vary, so check your own storefront.
Availability limits still apply
The delay does not change the availability warning Pearl Abyss shared earlier. After a review of content and age rating requirements, Charting the Unknown will not be sold in certain markets, and preorders in those regions are being closed and refunded. The expansion will also not be on the Mac App Store at launch.
What the wait is for
The expansion takes Kliff, Oongka and Damiane past the coastline of Pywel. Pearl Abyss has shown ship travel and battles at sea, diving for treasure and sunken ruins, new islands, new story chapters for all three characters, and a larger housing mode with castle building and decorating. How well those systems hold together is exactly what the extra two weeks are meant to settle, so we will look at it closely once it is out.
