Every Aniimo update NEXTARCA has covered, in one place and newest first. Pawprint Studio launched its creature collecting RPG on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 16, 2026, and on iOS and Android on September 23. Since then the team has shared its plans for Irisalis potential and Sparkling Hues and released patches, including a limited time Companion Handbook EXP boost.

October 18, 2026: Aniimo Patch Adds a Companion Handbook EXP Boost From 19 October and Fixes Console Menu Lag

Pawprint Studio has released a small Aniimo patch, version 1.0.3743667. The headline change, set out in the official patch notes, is a limited-time EXP boost for the Companion Handbook. It starts on 19 October and helps anyone whose Handbook is still below level 70. The patch also fixes a handful of console bugs.

The Companion Handbook EXP boost

While your Companion Handbook is under level 70, the EXP you earn for it gets an extra multiplier. The notes do not say how large the multiplier is, and they give no end date, only that the event is limited.

The boost starts at 4:00 AM server time on each server, so the real moment is different for each one:

  • Europe server: 4:00 AM UTC on 19 October. That is 6:00 AM in Central Europe (CEST), 5:00 AM in London (BST), 12:00 PM in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei (GMT+8), 1:00 PM in Seoul and Tokyo, and midnight going into 19 October in New York (EDT), or 9:00 PM on 18 October in Los Angeles (PDT).
  • Americas server: 4:00 AM in New York (EDT) on 19 October, which is 1:00 AM in Los Angeles (PDT), 10:00 AM in Central Europe, 9:00 AM in London and 4:00 PM in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei.
  • Asia Pacific server: 4:00 AM on 19 October in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei (GMT+8), and 5:00 AM in Seoul and Tokyo. In Europe and the US it is still 18 October: 10:00 PM in Central Europe, 9:00 PM in London, 4:00 PM in New York and 1:00 PM in Los Angeles.

Bug fixes in this patch

  • Severe lag when opening the menu on console is fixed.
  • Aniimo nicknames in Operation: Egg Heist no longer appear out of place on console.
  • Icons that looked wrong in some menus now display properly.

The notes also cover a problem with the Stage 4 rewards of Tiered Grand Gifts, which some players could not claim. One line says access was switched off for a while as the team worked on it. The next line says the problem is fixed. If you missed those rewards, check whether you can claim them now.

Who gets it

Aniimo is free to play. The official site lists it on PC through its own launcher, Steam and Epic Games, plus PS5, Xbox, iOS and Android. The patch notes name console for two of the fixes and do not list platforms for the rest.

October 1, 2026: Aniimo Plans Fixed Irisalis Potential and Sparkling Hue Changes

Aniimo’s developers outlined planned changes to Sparkling Hue customization and Irisalis in Dev Dispatch Vol. 1, posted September 30. The team also addressed mobile performance and support delays. It did not give a calendar date for these changes. Read the official Steam announcement.

What the team plans to change

Players should be able to switch freely among Sparkling Hue styles they have already unlocked for a Sparkling Prismana Aniimo, including its original color. The team also plans to let players apply a Legendary Aniipod to a Sparkling Aniimo. Doing so would replace the Aniipod originally used to catch it and grant the Legendary Aniipod’s exclusive Sparkling effect.

These are announced plans, not confirmation that the changes are live.

Irisalis would receive fixed potential values

The team says it plans to replace Irisalis’s randomized Innate Potential with fixed values: ATK 10, REGEN 10, HP 5, BREAK 5, M.DEF 5, and P.DEF 5. Existing potential above those values would be converted into Starcryst Essence. The team has not provided the conversion formula or amounts.

Mobile performance and support

A dedicated team is working to reduce lag and overheating on popular mobile devices. The developers also say they are improving support by upgrading their tools, expanding the team, and streamlining how tickets are handled. They caution that complex cases may still take longer.

For Steam or console account linking problems, the dispatch directs players to Customer Support, then Account Issues, then Steam Relink (PSN/Xbox). Players are asked to provide their platform ID, current account UID and email, the UID they want unlinked, and its linked platform.

Release timing remains unclear

The dispatch associates several planned changes with version 1.1, but does not give a calendar date for them. The official Steam feed also lists a September 30 resource update as build 1.0.3629693.0. That update included performance improvements for logging in and switching scenes, but its notes do not say whether those address the mobile lag and overheating described in the dispatch. See the official update notes.

The practical takeaway: players can treat the Hue and Irisalis changes as developer plans, but should wait for a dated update notice before expecting them in game.

September 21, 2026: Aniimo Mobile Launches September 23 With Preload Opening One Day Earlier

Update (October 26, 2026): Aniimo's mobile version is out. This article was written before the launch and has been updated to match.

Aniimo arrived on iOS and Android on September 23, 2026, bringing Pawprint Studio's creature-collecting role-playing game to phones and tablets, a week after the PC and console launch on September 16. The mobile release went live after a server maintenance from 00:00 to 10:00 UTC on September 23, which is 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei, 2:00 AM to 12:00 PM CEST and September 22 at 5:00 PM to September 23 at 3:00 AM PDT, according to Pawprint Studio's announcement on Steam.

Players could preload the mobile version from September 22 at 12:00 AM UTC+8, which was September 21 at 9:00 AM PDT, 12:00 PM EDT, 5:00 PM in London and 6:00 PM CEST. The game is free to play, and it is still on the App Store and Google Play.

Aniimo mobile requires 18 GB of available storage

The official requirements list 18 GB of available storage for both iOS and Android devices. Clear some extra space before downloading, because installation, temporary files and later updates can need more room than the listed amount.

On iOS, the minimum supported configuration is:

  • iPhone 11 with the A13 chipset

  • iOS 16

  • 4 GB of memory

  • 18 GB of available storage

Pawprint Studio recommends an iPhone 14 Pro with the A16 chipset or a newer model, iOS 16 or later, and at least 6 GB of memory.

The Android requirements are based on processing hardware rather than specific phone models. The minimum configuration calls for:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 or MediaTek Dimensity 1000

  • Android 10

  • 6 GB of memory

  • Vulkan 1.1 graphics support

  • 18 GB of available storage

For the recommended Android experience, the studio lists a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or MediaTek Dimensity 9200 chipset or better, Android 10, at least 8 GB of memory, and Vulkan 1.1 or later. Devices below the minimum may not launch the game or run it reliably.

Lag and overheating are being worked on

After launch, players reported lag and overheating on phones. In its first developer dispatch on October 1, Pawprint Studio said a dedicated team is optimizing the game for popular devices to reduce lag and overheating and improve the mobile experience as soon as possible.

Supported Bluetooth controllers

Aniimo supports selected Bluetooth and telescopic controllers on mobile. The confirmed list includes PlayStation 5 controllers, Xbox controllers, the EasySMX M20, the GameSir G8 Plus and the GameSir X4 Aileron. The X4 Aileron is limited to Android.

Telescopic controllers made for Android do not work on iOS. Nintendo Switch controllers and Joy-Con are not supported on mobile, and controller vibration is unavailable. Check that your phone, operating system and controller model are on the list before you rely on one.

Mobile expands Aniimo beyond PC and consoles

Aniimo is developed and published by Pawprint Studio, a development and publishing label backed by FunPlus. The studio describes the game as a free-to-play, open-world role-playing game built around collecting creatures called Aniimo.

Its central Twining mechanic lets players merge with collected Aniimo and use their abilities during exploration, combat and environmental challenges. The game also includes solo play, multiplayer activities, creature collection and the Egg Heist competitive mode. With the mobile launch, Aniimo is now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, iOS and Android.

September 14, 2026: Aniimo Players Can Download Early Before September 16

Pawprint Studio has opened Aniimo preload access on Windows PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S before the creature collection RPG launches worldwide on September 16. Players can install the game early, although the download method and required free storage differ between PC and consoles.

The servers are scheduled to open on September 16 at 10:00 UTC+8. That is 10:00 AM in Asia time (GMT+8).

Aniimo will be free-to-play at launch. Console players should note that the currently announced preload route requires one of the available preorder packs, while PC players can obtain the latest client through the official website.

Aniimo preload requires up to 40 GB of free PC storage

Windows users need at least 40 GB of available storage to complete the installation. Pawprint Studio recommends using an SSD, although the announcement does not present an SSD as a strict minimum requirement.

This figure describes the required free storage rather than the confirmed size of the download itself. Players should avoid treating 40 GB as an exact file size because installation and extraction can require additional working space.

Anyone who installed an Aniimo client for an earlier test must remove that version before installing the launch client. Pawprint Studio says previous test builds cannot be used for the global release, making a fresh installation necessary even if an older client remains on the computer.

The official announcement directs PC players to download the Windows client through the Aniimo website. It does not explicitly confirm whether preload access is also available through every PC storefront.

Console preload is connected to the preorder packs

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S users need between 30 GB and 35 GB of free storage. The PlayStation 5 version must be installed on the console's internal SSD.

According to the official announcement, console preload access is available to players who purchase an Aniimo preorder pack. These packs contain the base game and additional digital items, but the base game itself will become available at no cost when Aniimo launches.

Pawprint Studio has not confirmed whether another console preload option will become available for players who do not purchase a pack. Anyone planning to play without one may need to wait until the free base game becomes available through the relevant console store.

Players should also remember that the listed storage amounts are minimum free space requirements. The final installed size may differ after launch updates and platform specific installation processes.

Regional servers open simultaneously

Aniimo will operate separate America, Asia Pacific and Europe servers. Although the regional schedules display different dates and times, all three servers are set to open simultaneously.

The America server opens on September 15 at 22:00 UTC minus 4.

The Asia Pacific server opens on September 16 at 10:00 UTC plus 8.

The Europe server opens on September 16 at 02:00 UTC plus 0.

Each time converts to September 16 at 02:00 UTC. The earlier date displayed for the America server reflects the local time zone rather than an earlier launch.

Completing the preload will reduce the amount of downloading required on launch day, but it will not provide access before the servers open.

Server choice will affect shared progression

Aniimo supports shared progress across PC, console and mobile, but that support is tied to the server selected by the player.

Progress made on the same server can be accessed across supported platforms. Data stored on different regional servers remains independent, meaning progress on one server will not automatically appear after moving to another.

Players planning to explore or use multiplayer features with friends should coordinate their server choices before beginning. This will be especially important for groups whose members live in different regions.

Xbox Cloud Gaming support has also been confirmed. Players using the cloud version will need a Microsoft account and a stable internet connection. Cloud availability and permitted playtime may depend on the player's account status and regional Xbox services.

What players will be downloading

Aniimo is an open-world action RPG built around discovering and capturing creatures across the continent of Idyll. Its central Twining mechanic allows Pathfinders to take on the form and abilities of collected Aniimo during exploration, combat and environmental challenges.

The game supports solo play alongside online activities. Confirmed features include creature evolution, exploration influenced by environmental conditions, personal spaces and Egg Heist, a competitive mode involving teams of three.

Preloading is primarily a practical way to prepare for the opening rush. It gives players time to clear storage, install the correct client and confirm their preferred server before progress begins.

The latest PC client is available through the official Aniimo website, while eligible console players can begin installing through their purchased preorder packs. The servers open worldwide on September 16 at 02:00 UTC, which is 10:00 AM in Asia time (GMT+8).

NEXTARCA's take

Aniimo's first weeks show a studio that talks to its players often, which matters for a game built around collecting and raising companions over months. The planned changes to Irisalis potential and Sparkling Hues answer real player complaints, but the September dispatch gave no firm release date, so treat them as plans for now. If you are returning after a break, the EXP boost is a good moment to catch up.
