CONTROL Resonant launches tomorrow, September 24, and NVIDIA has detailed the graphics features awaiting players on GeForce RTX PCs. The game will support path tracing and DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction at launch. Players with GeForce RTX 50 Series hardware will also have access to Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.

Those features offer different benefits, and they do not all require the same graphics card. NVIDIA says Ray Reconstruction works across GeForce RTX generations, while Dynamic Multi Frame Generation is reserved for the RTX 50 Series.

What path tracing changes in CONTROL Resonant

CONTROL Resonant moves the series’ supernatural crisis into a warped Manhattan. NVIDIA says its path tracing features affect how light spreads through streets and interiors, how shadows appear, and what players see reflected on surfaces.

For players, that could make the city’s changing spaces easier to read visually and more convincing in motion. The appearance and performance will still depend on the graphics settings and hardware used. NVIDIA’s demonstrations show its own technology under selected conditions; they are not an independent assessment of every PC configuration.

NVIDIA says selecting the game’s Ultra ray tracing preset activates DLSS Ray Reconstruction on supported GeForce RTX hardware. Ray Reconstruction uses image processing to refine the results of path tracing. DLSS Super Resolution is also part of the supported feature set.

Which RTX players get frame generation?

GeForce RTX 50 Series owners can use Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, which adjusts its frame generation multiplier toward a selected frame rate target. NVIDIA also lists a fixed mode of up to 6X frame generation.

That distinction matters when reading NVIDIA’s performance figures. Frame generation adds generated frames to the displayed output, so a reported frame rate using that feature should not be treated as the game’s native rendering rate. Players should consider image quality and responsiveness alongside the displayed number.

NVIDIA says a GeForce Game Ready Driver for CONTROL Resonant is already available. PC players planning to use its RTX features can check their graphics settings and install the current driver before launch.

Launch time and platforms

NVIDIA lists CONTROL Resonant’s launch for 7 a.m. Pacific Time on September 24, or 2 p.m. UTC. That is 9 p.m. in Bangkok and Jakarta, 10 p.m. in Singapore, Manila, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur, and 11 p.m. in Tokyo and Seoul. Remedy confirms the September 24 release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

For PC players, the key choice is how far to raise the graphics settings on their own hardware. NVIDIA has confirmed the available RTX features, but their practical performance across a wider range of systems will become clearer once the game launches.
