Remedy Entertainment is preparing two additions for CONTROL Resonant following its September 24 launch. An update targeted for October should allow players to start another New Game Plus run after completing one, while Photo Mode is expected sometime in November. Both are planned release windows, not fixed dates.
The developer’s post launch announcement also says more cosmetic pieces for Dylan Faden are planned, though Remedy has not provided a release window or described the items.
Repeatable New Game Plus runs are targeted for October
Players can continue exploring after finishing the main story, including unfinished side quests and World Feats. They can also start New Game Plus. Remedy says the current version permits one additional completion, but the planned update would let players begin another run after that without erasing their progress.
Remedy calls the addition New Game++. Its practical benefit is straightforward: players who want to keep replaying the campaign would no longer have to discard their existing progress to start over again. The studio says the update should arrive in October, but has not announced a specific date.
An earlier Remedy developer post on PlayStation Blog explained that New Game Plus carries over many combat upgrades and unlocks while keeping traversal abilities tied to story progression. The new announcement addresses the limit on successive runs. It does not detail any further changes to what carries over.
Photo Mode is expected in November
Remedy also plans to add Photo Mode, which was absent at launch. The studio says it consulted virtual photographers from the community while developing the feature and prioritized the game’s launch condition before releasing it.
The stated target is sometime in November. Remedy has not shown a complete feature list or given a precise release date. Players who want dedicated capture tools should therefore treat November as the current expectation, subject to a further announcement.
More cosmetics for Dylan are planned for future updates. Remedy has not identified the new pieces, said whether they will be free, or given a timetable. The announcement mentions cosmetics already obtainable in the game separately from those future additions.
These plans give players two reasons to revisit altered Manhattan: continued character progression through successive runs and a dedicated way to capture its environments. Neither update is available on the schedule alone. Remedy’s support center remains the place to check for technical help, while the studio has yet to publish exact dates for New Game++ and Photo Mode.
