Phantom Blade Zero Pre-Orders Are Live Ahead of Major Gameplay Showcase

S-GAME has opened pre-orders on PS5 and PC, revealed more of Donnie Yen's involvement, and scheduled nearly 20 minutes of new gameplay.

Phantom Blade Zero is moving into the final stretch before launch. S-GAME has officially opened pre-orders for the dark wuxia action RPG on PlayStation 5, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, ahead of its planned October 29, 2026 release.

The developer also released an extended trailer featuring more of protagonist Soul's journey and confirmed a dedicated Phantom Blade Zero State of Play that will showcase nearly 20 minutes of gameplay.

Donnie Yen joins Phantom Blade Zero

Martial-arts actor and filmmaker Donnie Yen also has a significant role in the project.

S-GAME confirmed that Yen has worked as a creative consultant since 2023 and provides facial and motion capture for Mó Yuan, a character identified by PlayStation as Soul's father.

His involvement fits naturally with Phantom Blade Zero's emphasis on Chinese martial arts and cinematic action choreography, although S-GAME remains responsible for the game's overall design and development.

Pre-orders and pricing

Phantom Blade Zero is a premium release rather than a free-to-play game.

In the United States, the Standard Edition is listed at $59.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition costs $69.99. Regional prices may differ.

Pre-order bonuses include the Treasure Basin accessory and a Legacy appearance. S-GAME says both items can also be earned through normal gameplay.

The Deluxe Edition adds additional cosmetic appearances, a digital artbook, and the game's digital soundtrack.

Phantom Blade Zero launches in October

Phantom Blade Zero was originally scheduled for September 9, but S-GAME delayed the game by 50 days to October 29, 2026.

The studio said the additional development time would be used for improvements to character models, environments, and overall presentation.

The game is currently confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Windows PC through Steam and Epic Games Store. No Xbox or Nintendo version has been officially announced.

Why the upcoming showcase matters

Phantom Blade Zero has already attracted attention for its fast sword combat, dark martial-arts setting, and cinematic presentation.

The upcoming State of Play now gives S-GAME an opportunity to show more of what players will actually experience beyond trailers.
