Upcoming RPG Games in October 2026: Release Dates and What to Watch.

Six RPG releases on NEXTARCA’s October roadmap have dates supported by official game or store pages. The month begins with AION 2’s wider launch, brings new Dragon’s Dogma content and Enshrouded’s full release, then ends with Phantom Blade Zero. These are different kinds of launches, so the date alone does not tell players what they will be getting.

October 2026 RPG release dates

These are announced dates as of September 26, 2026. Players planning time off or a purchase should check their platform’s store page again near launch.

AION 2 and Dragon’s Dogma open the month

AION 2 arrives on October 5, according to NC’s official site. It is the month’s MMO option, with an important distinction for players comparing dates: qualifying Founder’s Packs offer five days of advance access. October 5 is the listed official launch, rather than the first opportunity for every eligible buyer to enter the game.

On October 9, Capcom is scheduled to release Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen. Capcom describes it as an expansion adding a new story to Dragon’s Dogma 2. The date also marks the game’s arrival on Nintendo Switch 2 in a package containing the main game and expansion. Existing players should therefore check the expansion offering for their platform, while newcomers can look at the combined package.

Enshrouded reaches 1.0, followed by two different RPGs

October 15 is Enshrouded’s full release on Steam. Keen Games says the game will leave Early Access on that date. For anyone who has already played it, this is a version milestone rather than the first day the game becomes available. Keen Games has discussed further improvements for 1.0, but players should judge the finished release by the features and performance delivered at launch.

FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE follows on October 22. Square Enix’s Steam listing identifies it as an RPG built around party combat, enemy weaknesses and abilities called Visions. A free PC demo is listed, with save data carrying into the full game. That gives interested players a way to try its opening chapter before deciding whether its combat is for them.

Warrior Cats: Clans of the Forest is listed for October 23. Its Steam page categorizes it as both adventure and RPG. Players create a cat, undertake clan quests and strengthen their character through turn-based battles. It offers a markedly different kind of role-playing from the larger action releases surrounding it on the calendar.

Phantom Blade Zero closes October

Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled for October 29 on PlayStation 5. The S Game title follows Soul through a martial arts fantasy setting, with combat focused on weapons, dodges, deflections and counters. Its October date replaced an earlier September target, making it a prominent late month entry on NEXTARCA’s roadmap.

PC players should check their local store listing before treating October 29 as their exact unlock date. The Steam page viewed for this article displays October 28, while PlayStation and the developer’s PlayStation Blog post give October 29. The sources establish an October launch, but the displayed PC date differs by store or region.
