RPGs This Week: Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen Arrives October 9

It is a week with one clear headliner. Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen arrives on Friday, October 9, 2026, and it is the RPG release most players have been waiting for. Next week is busier, with three more on the way, and there is plenty to play in the meantime.

Here is everything on the NEXTARCA Roadmap for October 5 to 11, and what comes right after.

This week at a glance

• October 9: Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Switch 2)

• October 13: Valor Mortis (PC, PlayStation, Xbox)

• October 15: Enshrouded 1.0 (PC, PlayStation, Xbox)

• October 16: Tales of Eternia Remastered (PC and consoles)

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen (October 9)

The big one. Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is Capcom’s paid expansion for its 2024 action RPG, out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It is also the game’s first appearance on Nintendo Switch 2, where the base game and the expansion come in one package.

The main addition is Norgan, a long abandoned region in the snowy north. You travel there with a new companion, Eir, to uncover the secrets of the undying Fallen Dragon. Relics you dig up can be appraised into new weapons and skills. A second part, Lost Rites, adds 12 dungeon challenges to the regions you already know.

A few practical details:

• The expansion is listed at $29.99 on Steam, and it needs the base game.

• Capcom recommends level 40 for Norgan and level 20 for Lost Rites.

• You do not have to finish the story first. Both parts open early: speak with Brant at the tavern after you reach Vernworth.

• Steam shows release dates in your own time zone, so check the store page for the exact unlock time where you live.

Coming next week

Valor Mortis (October 13)

In Valor Mortis, you rise from a battlefield grave and fight Napoleon’s Eternal Guard with steel and supernatural power. It is coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

Enshrouded 1.0 (October 15)

Enshrouded reaches its 1.0 release on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. The action RPG has you reclaim Embervale alone or with friends, one fortress at a time.

Tales of Eternia Remastered (October 16)

A classic returns. Tales of Eternia Remastered sends you between the worlds of Inferia and Celestia to stop the Great Fall, on PC and consoles.
