The closed playtest for Sagas of Lumin has doubled in size. Elos Games says more than 6,000 people applied, so it has invited another 500 players on top of the first 500 who got in on September 23. The studio shared the news in a Steam update on October 2.
What was announced
1,000 players in total: 500 from September 23, plus 500 more invited now.
Over 6,000 applications: so most people who applied are still waiting.
Six minutes of uncut gameplay: a new showcase, premiered with IGN, shows the game’s aerial dogfights on dragonback and its combat on foot.
Release date: the full release is set for February 5.
If you got an invite
The studio asks playtesters to fill out the in-game feedback survey after each session and to join its Discord, where the team is talking with players directly. It says the feedback will be used to polish the game before launch.
Why it matters
Sagas of Lumin is a single player action RPG built around riding a dragon between floating islands, then dismounting to fight with melee weapons, firearms and spells. A playtest this close to launch is a chance for the team to test that mix of air and ground combat with real players, and the uncut footage lets everyone else judge it without edits.
Elos Games has not said whether more invites will follow. Platforms and details are on our Sagas of Lumin game page.
