The Zotenhold open beta is running on Steam now, and anyone can join for free until October 28. The developer confirmed in the studio's announcement that Early Access follows on October 30, which makes this beta the last public test before the game goes on sale.

What the open beta includes
Zotenhold is a co-op action RPG about holding the last walls of a fortress against waves of enemies that never stop. The beta gives players the endless horde mode, boss waves that can end a run, and classes with their own skill trees, split into tanks, healers and damage dealers. Loot climbs all the way to Mythic and Godly items. Up to 10 players can fight together on the official server, or one player can host a private game for friends.
The store page describes 24 classes, each with a skill tree of three paths and a limited pool of points, plus Need, Greed or Pass rolls on every drop. The announcement does not say how many of those classes are open in the beta.
To join, open the Zotenhold store page on Steam, click the button to join the playtest, then install it from your Steam Library and press Play.
Dates and times around the world
The beta opened at 8:00 PM Eastern on Friday, October 23. That was 5:00 PM in Los Angeles the same Friday, and on Saturday, October 24 it was 1:00 AM in London (BST), 2:00 AM in Central Europe (CEST), 8:00 AM in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei (GMT+8) and 9:00 AM in Seoul and Tokyo (GMT+9).
The post says the beta runs through October 28. It calls that day a Tuesday, though October 28, 2026 is a Wednesday. The Steam event listing closes the beta at 11:59 PM in New York (EDT) and 8:59 PM in Los Angeles (PDT) on October 28. That is 3:59 AM in London (GMT), 4:59 AM in Central Europe (CET), 11:59 AM in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taipei and 12:59 PM in Seoul and Tokyo on October 29.
Early Access is set for October 30. No unlock time has been given yet for any region. Steam shows the date as October 31 to visitors in GMT+8 time zones, so in Asia the launch may land on the 31st.
What is still unknown
The Early Access price is not listed yet. The store page says the price will rise step by step as content is added, and that Early Access buyers get every update up to full release at no extra cost. It is not stated whether beta progress carries over into Early Access. The store lists Windows and macOS system requirements, and English is the only language listed.
Planned work before full release includes more enemies and bosses, deeper classes, item sets, bigger battles and more accessibility options. Beta feedback goes through the game's Discord.
NEXTARCA's take
A 10 player horde game lives or dies on its roles, and Zotenhold leans hard on the classic trio of tank, healer and damage. That is promising for RPG players who miss dungeon-style teamwork without a subscription. The open beta is the right place to judge it: try a healer, see whether reviving teammates and interrupting enemy healers feels tense or tedious, and watch how fast loot starts to change your build. With one developer behind 24 classes, balance will be rough at first. If the core loop holds up in a full lobby, the October 30 launch is worth a look.
