DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered Nears October 1 Launch

Koei Tecmo has scheduled DYNASTY WARRIORS 3: Complete Edition Remastered for October 1, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The release combines DYNASTY WARRIORS 3 with its Xtreme Legends expansion. The publisher announced the date in June, and its current game page continues to display October 1.

Store dates are worth checking by region. An Asian PlayStation storefront and the Steam listing viewed for this article display September 30. Koei Tecmo’s announced date remains October 1, but the sources reviewed do not establish one unlock time for every region.

What the remaster adds

More than 40 officers return for the series’ large battlefield battles. New options include evasion, a timed dodge counter, and Perfect Power Guard. Weapon Fusion lets players transfer attributes and skills from spare weapons, while Classic Settings can switch off certain additions for an experience closer to the original game.

Musou, Free, and VS modes support offline two-player split-screen for cooperative or competitive play. Steam lists Action, RPG, and Strategy among the game’s genres; Koei Tecmo describes it as tactical action. Officer development and weapon customization provide the clearest progression angle for NEXTARCA readers.

A demo is available before launch

Koei Tecmo’s demo page links to versions for PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The demo features the Battle of Hulao Gate and lets players choose Zhao Yun, Guan Yu, Xiahou Dun, Zhen Ji, Zhou Yu, or Sun Shangxiang.

Steam notes that demo save data will not transfer to the full game. Players can try the battle before release, then check their regional storefront for the full game’s unlock date.
